Liquides Imaginaires was founded in 2012, when Philippe Di Méo's artistic sensibility met David Frossard's business acumen around an art installation exploring the sacred ancestry of perfume. By chance or destiny, the two embarked on a joint adventure: to imagine a new relationship with perfume, based on the spiritual, mystical, symbolic, and emotional virtues of smell.

In ancient times, perfume was a means of communicating with the gods through smoke (Latin: per fumum). Today, its embodiment is expressed through symbolism: it still allows the transition from the material to the immaterial, from the solid to the liquid, from the visible to the invisibility of emotions.
