Althaïr is the perfume that took Layton's place in Parfums de Marly's sales: a bourbon vanilla warmed by cinnamon and cardamom, an orange blossom at the heart, a base of praline, amber and guaiac wood. A gourmand for men, dense, that stays on a coat until the next day.
Hamid Merati-Kashani composed it as a late-evening oriental. A worldwide best-seller since launch, hard to keep in stock.
